Troubleshooting Mozilla Firefox

This section describes how to troubleshoot problems such as unavailability of product pages and display corruption, even after you have configured your Web browser with the settings recommended by Cybozu.

This section explains the scenario using the following case as an example.

  • Windows
    • OS: Windows 10 Pro
    • Web browser: Mozilla Firefox 90.0
  • Mac
    • OS: macOS Catalina
    • Web browser: Mozilla Firefox 90.0

STEP 1: Clearing Cookies and Cache Information

  1. Start your Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Click Menu button at the top right of the screen.
  3. Click Settings.

  5. In the "History" section, click Clear History. Screen capture: Link to clear the history is highlighted
  6. From the "Time range to clear" dropdown list, select "Everything".
  7. In the "History" section, select the "Cookies" and "Cache" check boxes.
  8. Confirm the time range and selected items to clear, and click OK. Screen capture: Clear All History
  9. Check that the problem is solved.
    If it is not solved, proceed to STEP 2.
    If this step solves the problem, skip STEP 2 and the subsequent steps.

STEP 2: Disabling Add-Ons

Add-ons added to your Web browser might affect displaying interfaces or product behavior. For details, refer to the Mozilla help.

Disable add-ons one by one and check whether the trouble is solved.

  1. Start your Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Click Menu button at the top right of the screen.
  3. Click Add-ons and themes.

  5. Turn off the toggle button to disabled (white) to disable an add-on. Screen capture: Disabling an add-on
  6. Check that the problem is solved.
    • If the problem persists:
      Repeat steps 1 to 2 to try disabling other add-ons.
    • If the problem is solved:
      Troubleshooting is completed. Re-enable the add-ons that didn't affect the problem.
