Field types and entry limits

Text If the prohibition of duplicate values is set for the field, the field will allow a maximum of 64 half-width or full-width characters.
Number
  • Depending on the values set for Total number of digits and Number of decimal places to round in the app's Misc settings, the following limits apply to the number of digits of the value entered into the field.
    • The integer part
      The number of digits acceptable by the field is the number set for Total number of digits minus the number set for Number of decimal places to round.
      For Total number of digits, you can set an integer between 1 and 30. For Number of decimal places to round, you can set an integer between 0 and 10.
      By default, the integer part can be up to 12 digits long.
    • The decimal part
      The fractional part of the decimal part is determined based on the value specified for Number of decimal places to round and is processed in accordance with the specified rounding method.
      The rounding method is specified in Rounding. By default, the fifth and subsequent decimal places are treated as the fractional part, and the Round to nearest even number option is applied as the rounding method.

Date Dates between January 1, 1000 and December 31, 9999 can be entered.
Date and time You can specify a date and time from 00:00 (UTC), January 1, 1000 to 23:59 (UTC), December 31, 9999.

As for the handling of time zones, this field type supports time zones for dates and times between 00:00 (UTC) January 1, 1970 and 00:00 (UTC) January 1, 2050.
If a date and time prior to January 1, 1970 is saved or displayed using a web browser, the time zone offset (a correction value that indicates how many hours should be subtracted from or added to the Coordinated Universal Time) may not work correctly. In the case of Japan, for instance, a date and time before 1887, which is the year on which Japan Standard Time (JST) was introduced, or between 1948-1951, during which Daylight Saving Time was in effect in Japan, will not be saved or displayed correctly.
Attachment The maximum file size limit for a single attachment is 1 GB.
There is no upper limit on the number of files that can be attached.
The thumbnail (small image) of an attached image file may not be displayed if the size of the image file is too large.
To display a thumbnail, reduce the size of the image file.

  • Only URLs that begin with "http://" or "https://" can be entered.
  • The following characters can be used:
    • Alphabetic characters (uppercase and lowercase)
    • Arabic numerals
    • The following special characters:
      -_.!~*'():@&=+$,;?/#%
      • Some special characters may not be usable for certain parts of the URL.
  • If the prohibition of duplicate values is set for the field, the field will allow a maximum of 64 half-width or full-width characters.
Link (Telephone number) If the prohibition of duplicate values is set for the field, the field will allow a maximum of 64 half-width or full-width characters.
Link (Email address)

  • Only email addresses in the following format can be entered:
    local-part@domain
    Example: user@example.com

    The maximum number of characters allowed for the local part is 64. The following characters can be used:
    • Alphabetic characters (uppercase and lowercase)
    • Arabic numerals
    • The following special characters:
      .!#$'%&*+/=?^_-`{}|~
    The domain part can contain the following characters:
    • Alphabetic characters (uppercase and lowercase)
    • Arabic numerals
    • The following special characters:
      .-
  • If the prohibition of duplicate values is set for the field, the field will allow a maximum of 64 half-width or full-width characters.

Field types other than those listed here do not have restrictions on the values or number of characters that can be entered.
