I have added a record but a message "Failed to load record details. No privilege to proceed." appears and I cannot view the record
After adding records, if a message "Failed to load record details. No privilege to proceed." is displayed, it is likely that the user who created the records do not have view permission for the added records.
Check the permissions for apps and records, and allow view permission to the user who create records.
Configuring Permissions for App
-
Click the App Settings icon (the gear-shaped icon at the upper right of the "View" screen), select the App Settings tab, and select App under Permissions.
-
Set view permission for records to users to whom you want to grant the permission.
Example: Granting view permission for records to all users
-
Click Save on the upper left side of the screen.
-
Click Update App at the upper right of the screen.
-
On the confirmation dialog, click Update App.
Configuring Permissions for Records
For each record, configure users who can view the record. Using values of a field as conditions, you can set different permission for each record.
-
Click the App Settings icon (the gear-shaped icon at the upper right of the "View" screen), select the App Settings tab, and select Records under Permissions.
-
In the Target Records in Priority Order section, specify the condition for the permission setting to be applied to records.
-
In "Assign Permissions for Users, Groups, and Departments", select the users to whom you want to give the permission and select "View" for them.
Example: Granting view permission to the record creator when the text field has "aiueo"
-
Click Save on the upper left side of the screen.
-
Click Update App at the upper right of the screen.
-
On the confirmation dialog, click Update App.
